Separate expected pubertal and menstrual patterns from pathology, so early menarche, irregular cycles, and "it's  just adolescence” do not delay a workup Treat period pain as a diagnosis, not a rite of passage, using evidence-based first-line therapy and knowing when to presume endometriosis Counsel families on contraception with current evidence, not 1990s talking points—cancer, weight, mood, fertility, Depo Provera, IUDs, and the “need” for a monthly bleed

Modernize the first reproductive-health visit, including when a pelvic exam is not required and how to use that evidence to steady parent–teen conversations.
